Soprano

British Soprano Kelsey Thomas is generously supported by the Sybil Tutton Opera Award from Help Musicians UK and The Riga Heesom scholarship award from the Royal Northern College of Music.
She is currently on the prestigious Young Artist Programme at Leeds Song, appearing in this year's Leeds Song Festival 2026. Later this season, Kelsey also joins the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Opera Chorus for Dvořák's Rusalka, under the baton of Domingo Hindoyan. This comes after a successful recital at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic last September, where she made her professional debut opening the Philhamonic's 2025/26 lunchtime concert series.
Originally from Liverpool, Kelsey has been described as an 'exciting early-career singer' and has been praised for her "beautiful storytelling", "outstanding onstage energy" and "excellent supple and elastic tone".
